These are the terms you agree to by downloading and using Lumitree. Plain language, no tricks.

Pricing

• Lumitree is free during v0.x early access.
• When v1.0 ships, it becomes a one-time purchase. No subscription, ever.
• The first 500 emails on our early list get v1.0 free, forever.
• Everyone else on the early list gets v1.0 at 50% off at launch.
• Whatever version you downloaded keeps working on your Mac indefinitely, regardless of what we do later.

Your data

Your mind maps are yours. They live as files on your disk. We have no way to access them, delete them, or charge you for continued access. If Lumitree disappears tomorrow, your maps keep working — they're just files.

AI features

AI features in Lumitree currently require you to provide your own API key for providers like Anthropic or OpenAI. When you use them, your prompts go directly from your Mac to those providers. We never see your prompts or their responses, and we aren't responsible for what those providers do with them — read their terms.

You can also use Apple's on-device Foundation Model for fully offline AI, or disable AI features entirely.

"As is"

Lumitree is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It's a small app built by one person. We try hard to make it stable, but if it crashes or corrupts a file we can't be held liable for data loss. Back up your important maps.

Acceptable use

Don't use the landing page signup to spam. Don't redistribute Lumitree binaries modified or otherwise. Don't use Lumitree to build something obviously harmful. We reserve the right to revoke founder slots for obvious abuse.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll email everyone on the list before the change takes effect.
